Everyday there is something happening that I did not envisage that would happen. Take for example this morning, walking to my car, from distance to my horror I thought someone had peeled off my TDF press sticker from my car's windshield.

This morning I was trying to decide what my plan was going to be because course and the hors-course were two rather difficult routes. We were already warned that the hors-course was 307km long with major traffic between Nimes and Valence on the A7.

This morning I bumped into Tim De Waele's motorpilot, Kim, and the first thing he said,"you should have stayed with us last night as we had spare rooms in our apartment". Only if I went to the press centre in the first place. I would have gladly cancelled my hotel accommodation in Grand-Verbe. Last night was a late finish and tonight is looking the same way even though I had the opportunity to finish early however, I had to make a visit to Movistar after the stage had finished. It's almost 1 am here in Toulouse and I am sweating like a pig in my tiny hotel room near the airport. I could not have believed it if you told prior to today's stage that I would be encountering such weather on Plateau De Beille. 

Stage 10 was huge and to maintain the same momentum in Stage 11 was going to be difficult. How often would you have someone like Chris Froome read your blog about what it takes to chase Le Tour. Honestly, I was grinning ear to ear as I was driving home last night. You couldn't wipe that smile of my face even if you tried.
